We are proud to announce the so-waited release of ECdesigns Powerdac-X series. These new and unique R2R dacs were developed with an unprecedented approach to digital conversion and with a unique receiver technology that puts the Powerdac-X series ahead of any conventional dac.
The Powerdac-SX in particular was conceived to power sensitive loudspeakers directly from its output. No amplification of the signal is used!
The volume control in all Powerdacs is done on the digital level in a completely lossless manner, also performing above most volume controls in the market.
The Powerdac-X series was develop around the concept of ElectroTos connection. This is a new, much more precise form of optical transfer from the source with all the advantages of a non electrical connection and without any of the problems of Toslink cables. It simply cannot be compared with I2S, SPDIF and USB connections. Although the Powerdacs can work with Toslink cables, they require ElectroTos interfaces for their best performance. The difference is unbelievable. Bear in mind that it is also possible to modify a CD transport that has an optical output to be used with an ElectroTos cable. We are happy to answer questions regarding this new approach.
As a source, the Powerdacs-X series makes other already very good dacs, like e.g. the Holo May Dac, sound artificial and harsh. Finally, the Powerdac-SX is the best headphone dac-“amplifier” you will ever hear. The purest sound, no coloration and zero distortion.
